Jim Gerber is Founder and President of “The Teaching Company,” a high-end corporate training and events company utilizing the top instructors in golf as well as the top performance experts to deliver outstanding programs for numerous Fortune 500 companies.
Gerber has been the Executive Director at the Hawthorns Golf & C.C. since 2002. Along with his team of professionals, Gerber brings a tremendous amount of expertise to running a first-class golf operation. During his tenure at The Hawthorns he was voted 2004 Indiana PGA Teacher of the Year, voted to the Board of Directors of the Indiana PGA, as well as being named the section's Education Chairman.
Prior to coming to the Hawthorns, Gerber was Head Professional at The Maidstone Club in East Hampton, NY, which is ranked in the Top 50 golf courses in the world. Gerber spent three years heading up the restoration of Bobby Jones home course at the East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta, GA, which is now the permanent home of the PGA Tour Championship. During his tenure at these two clubs he was named one of Golf Magazine's Top 100 Teachers in America as well as earning Golf Shop Operations Top 100 Golf Shops in America award four times.
Gerber resides in Fishers, IN, with his wife Brenda and their two children Bailey and Brady.
